Ất tỵ | Lunar Snake

Series tranh rắn Tết Ất Tỵ được thực hiện bằng kỹ thuật in cao su trên giấy điệp, lấy hình tượng con rắn như một dấu mốc mở đầu cho năm mới. Trong văn hoá dân gian, rắn vừa gắn với sự linh thiêng, biến chuyển và tái sinh, vừa hiện diện gần gũi trong đời sống thường nhật.

Việc sử dụng giấy điệp và in một màu tạo nên sự giản lược có chủ ý. Các hình rắn được in lại qua nhiều bản, như những lời chúc Tết lặng lẽ, nơi truyền thống không nằm ở hình thức phô trương, mà ở sự lặp lại, quen thuộc và bền bỉ của các biểu tượng dân gian.

This series of Snake prints for the Year of the Snake is created using rubber printing on điệp paper, with the snake as a symbolic marker for the beginning of the new year. In folk culture, the snake embodies both sacred qualities—transformation and renewal—and a close presence within everyday life.

The use of điệp paper and monochrome printing introduces a deliberate restraint. Repeated across multiple prints, the snake figures function as quiet New Year wishes, where tradition resides not in spectacle, but in the familiar, persistent repetition of folk symbols.
